To the Most Illustrious Lady
The Lady Giulia Nobile Ricci

Which desire of seeing the beauty of the Heaven;
The virtue, the splendor of our century,
And which would be the light of the Lord of Delo [proper name?],
And which would be most fair Gold, and most fair Scarlet:
Which desire to report of one mortal sail
The glory, and the good of the everlasting enclosure,
Come to behold with reverent zeal,
The Noble Lady of the Ladies shown;
Which will see graces not more seen elsewhere,
To catch the fire, and to burn the snow
To the sound of the most sweet words,
And will see moreover, between the lovely eyes move
To his valor, how much would be smooth, and raided
To turn the mountains, and to arrest the Sun.

Nobilta (Nobility)
Balletto

In Praise of the Most Illustrious Lady
The Lady Giulia Nobile Ricci

The man will take the lady by the ordinary hand, and they will do together the Riverenza minima, with 2 Continenze, and letting go the hand, they will be turned to the left hand, and will do 2 Seguiti, starting each thing with the left foot; except, that the Riprese always will be done to the right hand: after facing they will do 1 Continenza grave, and 2 Riprese, with 2 Puntate forward: they will be turned then to take the ordinary hand, and the Riverenza will be done together.

In the second time, walking, they will do 2 Passi gravi, and 1 Seguito ordinario, starting it with the left: they will do the same another turn by opposite, that is, starting it with the right: then letting go the hand, they will do 2 other Seguiti ordinarii turned to the left; facing they will return to do the Continenza grave, and 2 Riprese, with 2 Puntate, 1 forward, and the other back, and the Riverenza.

In the third time, the man alone will do 2 Riprese with the left, turning the left flank inward: he will do the same by opposite.  The lady alone will do the same by opposite.  They will be withdrawn then together, doing 2 Seguiti spezzati flanked, with 1 Continenza grave, 2 Riprese, 2 Puntate, 1 forward, and the other back, with the Riverenza.

In the fourth time, the lady alone will do the same change, which the man has already started with all the other things which follow, as yet is demonstrated in the third change, which the man does alone.

Taking the right hand, they will do 2 Passi presti, and 1 Seguito ordinario: they will do the same another turn by opposite taking the left hand: they will be turned then to the left, and will do 2 Seguiti ordinarii, with 1 Continenza grave facing, and 2 Riprese to the left, as of above.  Scurrying then, they will do together 2 Seguiti scorsi turned to the left, and the man thence will do another alone: then he will take the ordinary hand of the lady, and to the end of the time of the sound, they will end the Ballo with doing together the Riverenza.
