To the Illustrious Lady,
The Lady Giulia Colloreta Di Valvasone

Most of each other sublime high Star,
Star, which the Sun when is most clear dazzles;
Who gives the great name, and fame eternal, and fair
Which of civil blood bathed Tessaglia.
Mighty then which the Heaven others revokes
To infuse life to whom of having it may care for,
And to work then, which to the heavenly cave
Naked when it is necessary the soul ascends.
But Sun: not already that which rests vanquished
Of your light, and thence goes alone wandering,
Of thick hurtful rays, and wicked belt:
But one most fair, which it lights, and warms.  Now when
Shall be which I, who merit, of your Sovereign power thrust on,
That I may go singing your divine name?

Laccio D'Amore (Snare of Love)
Cascarda;

In Praise of the Illustrious Lady
The Lady Giulia Colloreta Di Valvasone

This Cascarda would start facing, and they will do together the Riverenza minima; then in the wheel they will do 4 Seguiti spezzati, and 4 Trabuchetti, with 3 other Seguiti spezzati, that is, 2 flanked back, and 1 turned to the left, and the Cadenza with the right.

In the second time, the man alone will do 2 Passi presti forward, and 2 Trabuchetti, and 1 Seguito spezzato turned to the left, and the Cadenza, as of above.  He will do the same another turn by opposite; then the man will take the right hand of the lady, and they will do together 2 Seguiti spezzati, and 2 Passi presti, and the Cadenza, changing place: they will do the same then taking the left hand, starting with the right foot, returning each one to their place.

In the third change, the lady will do the same which the man will have done: after together they will take the right hand, and then the left, and they will do all the said actions which yet are said in the second change.

In the fourth, and final time they will do 2 Fioretti a pie pari, with 2 Passi presti flanked back, and 1 Seguito semidoppio to the left, starting with the left foot: they will do the same starting with the right foot, to the right: after forward they will do 2 Passi presti, and 2 beats with the left foot back they will do 2 Seguiti spezzati flanked, to the end they will do 2 Riprese, and 2 Trabuchetti, with 1 Seguito spezzato turned to the left, and the Cadenza with the right facing, and with doing the Riverenza against time, they will end the Cascarda.
