Tordiglione (Spanish dance)
With the new changes of the Author
The man will take the ordinary hand of the lady, and together
they will do the Riverenza, and 2 Continenze; then walking, they will
do 4 Seguiti finti; after the which, the man, doing to the manner of
half moon, will turn his face to the lady, and together they will do to
the left 1 Ripresa presta, with 2 Trabuchetti gravi; and they will do
this 4 turns: letting go the hand then, they will turn to the left, and
will do 3 Seguiti finti, as of above, and 1 facing, changing place.
First change of the man, and walk of the lady.
The man will do 1 Groppo to the left, 1 Fioretto, the Cadenza with the
left forward, and 3 Passi presti back, starting with the right foot;
after he will do 3 beats of Campanelle to manner of 2 Riverenze, with 1
Trabuchetto, starting it with the left foot: to the right then he will
do 1 Sottopiede, 3 beats of Campanelle to manner of 2 Riverenze preste,
and 1 Trabuchetto, starting with the right foot, and suddenly
diminishing the left foot, and raising the right foot at the end of the
Sonata: he will do the same starting from the beginning to the right by
opposite, and at the end of the other time of the Sonata, he will raise
the left foot.
The lady in this time, walking, will do 8 Seguiti gravi finti, 4 to the
left, and 4 to the right.
First change of the lady, and walk of the man.
The lady will do 2 Trabuchetti gravi, 2 Seguiti spezzati flanked
forward, with 2 other Trabuchetti, starting with the left foot: after
she will do 1 Doppio scorso turned to the left, and meza Riverenza to
the end of the Sonata; and she will do the same another turn by
opposite.
The man in this time, walking, will also do the same 8 Seguiti to the
left, and to the right, which the lady will have done of above in her
walk.
Second change of the man, and walk of the lady.
The man will do 2 Fioretti a piedi pari, with 2 Costatetti, and the
Cadenza with the left foot back; then he will follow with 3 Triti
minuti to the right, 1 Passo in Gagliarda with the right, and the
Cadenza with the left back; after he will do 2 Zoppetti with the left
foot in air, turning suddenly to the left, and diminishing said foot,
he will be settled there some, then he will do 2 beats of Campanelle
preste with the right foot, and 1 Groppo to the left, with the Cadenza,
raising the right foot; and he will do the same to the right by
opposite, raising the left foot in the air to the end of the sound.
The lady walking, will do in this time the walk said of above.
Second change of the lady, and walk of the man.
The lady will do 2 Riprese preste, and 2 Trabuchetti gravi, with 2
Fioretti forward; then turning to the left, she will do 2 Seguiti
spezzati, and 1 Ripresa presta, with another Trabuchetto to the left,
starting with the left; and she will do the same to the right by
opposite.
The man in this time walking, will do the Seguiti already said.
Taking then together the right hand, they will do 2 Seguiti gravi
finti, and 2 scorsi, changing place: and letting go the hand, they will
do another 4 Seguiti gravi finti flanked back, starting it with the
left.
Third change of the man, and walk of the lady.
The man will diminish the left foot, which will be discovered in the
air, and bending the knees a little, he will do 1 Balzetto to feet even
with the left flank inward: then passing the right foot forward, and
turning the right flank, he will do 2 other Passi, 1 with the left, and
the other with the right, both back, and turning the right flank back;
then he will do 2 Fioretti a piedi pari flanked, with 2 Costatetti, and
suddenly to the right side he will do 3 Triti minuti, and raising the
right at the end of this, he will do Punta et calcagno first with the
right foot, then with the left, with 1 Sottopiede to the left, suddenly
diminishing the said left foot, and raising the right: he will do the
same starting with the right foot by opposite.
The lady in this time will do the abovesaid walk.
Third change of the lady, and walk of the man.
The lady will do the Riverenza with the right foot, as in Barriera, to the left; and she will do the
same to the right, with 2 Riprese with the left flank forward, and 2
Trabuchetti, with 1 Doppio scorso turned to the left, starting with the
left; and at the end she will do 2 Trabuchetti, 1 with the right, and
the other with the left: she will do the same to the right by opposite,
starting with the right.
The man will do in said time, walking, the said Seguiti.
Fourth change of the man, and walk of the lady.
The man will do 2 Zoppetti with the left foot in the air forward, then
diminishing it suddenly, he will do 5 beats of Campanella to manner of
3 Riverenze preste with the right foot, and 1 Trabuchetto to the right,
with 1 Sottopiede to the left: after he will do to the right 3 Triti
minuti, with 2 Ricacciate, starting it with the right, and 1 beat of
Campanella back with the same foot: then he will pause it on the
ground, raising first the left, and then the right: he will return to
do the same by opposite.
The lady will do in this time the said Seguiti ordinarii, walking to
the one and to the other hand.
Fourth change of the lady, and walk of the man.
The lady will do 2 Seguiti spezzati flanked forwards, and 2 Trabuchetti
gravi: then she will turn another Seguito spezzato with the left foot,
with 2 Passi gravi: then she will do 2 other Trabuchetti, starting it
with the right: she will do the same to the right, starting it by
opposite.
The man in this time will do the same walk said above. After they
will take together the left hand, and will do as they did in taking the
right hand, then returning each one to their place, they will do the
same 4 Seguiti finti flanked back.
Fifth change of the man, and walk of the lady.
The man will do 2 Ricacciate, starting it with the left, turned to the
left, with 3 beats of Campanella, done to the manner of 2 Riverenze,
and 1 Trabuchetto to the left with 1 Sottopiede to the right: then he
will do suddenly to the left 3 Triti minuti with 2 Riverenze preste,
and 1 Trabuchetto to the left, with 1 Sottopiede to the right, and 1
beat of Campanella back with the right foot: then resting said foot on
the ground, he will raise the left, and then the right. He will
return then to start the change with the said right foot, and to do
each thing by opposite.
The lady in this time, walking, will do the accustomed Seguiti.
Fifth change of the lady, and walk of the man.
The lady will do 2 Riprese, and 1 Trabuchetto with the left flank
inward: she will do the same turning the right flank: then she will do
1 Seguito spezzato turned to the left with the left foot, with 2 Passi
gravi, and 2 Trabuchetti, starting it with the right foot. She
will do the same another turn by opposite.
The man will do the accustomed walk.
Sixth change doing it together.
They will do 2 Fioretti, and 2 Trabuchetti gravi 3 turns, starting each
thing always with the left foot: although others are used to letting go
to do said change first to the man and then to the lady: because in
this manner will be most fair sight.
Done said change, the man will take the ordinary hand of the lady, and
together they will do 4 turns 1 Riprese, and 2 Trabuchetti to the left,
starting always with the left foot, as was done in the start: being
careful when they ware done, to go always facing. Finally
walking, they will do 2 Seguiti gravi finti, and 2 scorsi: and the man
pausing the lady wherever they will return most commodiously, they will
finish said Ballo with doing together the Riverenza.
