Historical Background

The following were notes while the character was evolving. They do not necessarily represent the way it came out.

Adam's wife, and Agatha's adopted mother for most of her life. She loves both of them very deeply.

It's less clear what we can do with Lilith than with Adam. We can almost certainly work her in, but her principal motivation is to protect Agatha. If we're going to use the two of them, the most obvious use is to have them be the ones who know perfectly well that Helen isn't Agatha, and who are trying to find the real one. However, to sharpen the situation, at least one of them should be in some sort of trouble, and the other is helping with it. Perhaps one of them is starting to break down? That might work nicely, especially since Klaus and Gil are the biological geniuses -- it forces some plot crossover.

Lilith presents an unusual costuming problem, in that one eye is conspicuously larger than the other, but that's probably manageable.

Adam and Lilith are old adventurers, and relish a challenge. See [this page] for her reaction to the notion of having to brave a curfew of Clanks.

Lilith [hates her fictionalized counterpart].

While hiding in Beetlesburg, Lilith made a living as [a piano teacher]. So she might play the melodeon for the Circus, or something like that.

While not nearly as obviously a tank as Adam, Lilith is nonetheless [very, very strong].

Note that Klaus [refers to her as "Judy"]. That would seem to imply that that was her original name, not just made up for the stories. How does she feel about that?

History

Lilith and Adam were both more or less dead for most of Book Four. But since when did that ever stop anyone?

Amount of Character Potential: Fair (Just a smidgeon weaker than Adam, IMO -- doesn't have the stereotype to play off against. But I suspect they're either both in or both out, unless one has been caught up in the Circus Arrested plot.)
