Queen Svava's Favors
Instructions:
Take purple cloth of an appropriate size for a belt favor. Cut
out the silhouette of the winged cat, below, in gray felt, about 4-5"
(10-12 cm) high. Applique the cat to the favor using a red floss
and blanket stitch. Finish the edges of the favor.
Artistic variations: The purple and grey cloths can be varied to
suit the craftsperson, but the favor must be purple and the cat
grey. Adding details to the cat, such as detailing of the leg,
wings, etc., with fabric paint or embroidery thread, is optional.
