Bassa Et Alta (Low and High)
Balletto of uncertain
Standing the man a little facing to the lady, he will take her
by the ordinary hand, and they will do the Riverenza, and 2 Continenze;
then walking, they will do 2 Puntate, and 5 Doppii, starting it with
the left, being careful in each Ballo, that that foot which is brought
to even, always has to move: done the 5 Doppii, they will do 2 Puntate,
1 with the right, and the other with the left, with 4 Riprese preste to
the right. When this Continenza grave is done, it behooves always
to do an act with the arm to the manner of half moon; then turning it
facing to the lady gracefully, they will return to do together 4 other
Riprese preste to the right: after they will start to do with the left
foot 2 Continenze, 2 Puntate, and 1 Doppio: 2 Puntate, 1 with the
right, and the other with the left, with 4 Riprese to the right: after
they will return to do another Continenza grave to the left, with 4
other Riprese to the right: then they will do 2 Continenze, 1 to the
left, the other to the right. And this is all the Low.
High of said Balletto.
They will be turned a little facing, doing the Riverenza grave; then
they will do 1 Passo left forward, and 5 Seguiti ordinarii, starting
them with the right foot, bending the knees a little with grace to the
final Seguito, and doing to the manner of meza Riverenza. The man
letting go the hand of the lady, will do then 2 Seguiti flanked, 1
back, and the other forward, with 2 Riprese to the right. The
lady alone will also do the same change. The man alone will return to
do 2 Puntate flanked forward, 1 Continenza to the left, and 2 Riprese
to the right. The lady alone will also do the same, and in place
of the Continenza and Riprese, she will be able also to do 1 Scorsa
turned to the left, and to the end of the sound a meza Riverenza facing.
Joyous of said Ballo
The man alone will do 2 Puntate, 1 Continenza to the left, and 2
Riprese to the right: after together they will do the Riverenza with
the left: then the lady will be settled, and the man alone will follow
with 2 Puntate flanked back, starting them with the left, and walking
to the left flank, they will do 1 Doppio with the left foot, or in
place of that 2 Passi gravi, and 1 Seguito ordinario: he will do the
same to the right, and similarly thence he will do another back; then
he will do 2 Puntate, 1 with the right forward, and the other with the
left back: then he will do 1 Passo grave back with the right, and the
Riverenza with the left facing.
The lady will do the same which the man will have done, that is, as she
will have done the Doppio to the left, and to the right, she will do 2
Puntate flanked back, or in their place1 Continenza to the left, and 2
Riprese to the right; then she will be turned to the left, and will do
2 Doppii scorsi, and the man first which will be finished, will go
facing, and will take her by the ordinary hand. Finally together
they will do 4 Riprese to the right a little facing, and 2 Continenze,
1 to the left, and the other to the right: then forward they will do 2
Puntate, and 2 Seguiti scorsi, starting it with the left: they will
return then to do the 4 Riprese to the right, with 2 Continenze, 1 to
the left, and the other to the right; then they will end the Ballo with
doing 2 Puntate, 1 forward, and the other back, with the Riverenza.
