Plot: Amagog's Legacy
Summary: Sarah is Amagog's greatest achievement, the Perfect Construct, but she is also a tool, his mechanism for seeing his works wind up in the right hands. She has the power to program the Mirror, locking it to the person who most deserves to have that power. It could go to Moloch, as Amagog's descendant; Silas, as his greatest student (or Beetle, who is also an expert); or possibly one of the Sparks -- the decision is up to her. But it must be decided tonight.
Description
Centuries ago, when
Amagog went away, he told
Sarah that the time would come to pass on his legacy, and that she would know when that time arrived. She is reasonably sure that it has. That is her principal character plot within the game: to determine who should receive assignment of Amagog's legacy, and control over all of his works. She can feel the window of time to accomplish this, and knows that today is the day. By the end of the day, she must choose, and tell the Mirror to alter things as necessary to make that person into Amagog's true inheritor. That person will get full control over all his works, so the decision must be made with care.
Moloch should be tied into this in some way, as Amagog's sole living direct descendant. He might well know about the legacy idea as a family legend -- indeed, he might be trying to explicitly grab that legacy himself, which could be what twigs Sarah to know that it's time.
Silas should be written so that he specifically believes himself to be the true successor to Amagog, as his greatest living student. Beetle should have something similar: having spent months trying to understand Amagog's work, he should believe himself (incorrectly) to now be the one who understands him best. Helen might have something a bit fuzzier, but as a dimension-traveler herself, she thinks of herself as the one who really understands this mysterious figure from the past whose machine connected with hers.
