All characters and concepts are copyright by them, and used by permission. If you think this game is at all amusing, you really should go buy the comics (available in convenient graphic-novel form) -- they're much better. The characters "Helen Narbon, Gentlewoman Adventurer" and "Artie" are adapted from the webcomic [Narbonic], by Shaenon Garrity. (The other comic about a cute blonde mad scientist with round glasses.) Those characters are copyright by her, and also used by permission. You should go read that, too.
Please note that, when I say "loosely adapted", I mean "loosely". There are a number of known bugs in the game, where it accidentally diverged from GG canon; there are even more where I simply embroidered wildly, since I needed to fill in character backgrounds for the game. None of what is in here should be considered anything more than educated guesswork and invention. (Also, note that I didn't have time to dig through the archives of the Girl Genius Yahoo group before writing, so while the game is mostly faithful to the canon elements shown in the comics, it tends to be further off on things that were mentioned in the group but haven't been shown in the comics yet.)
