"Gourmet" Sirloin Tips

Serves 4

1.5 lb. sirloin tips, trimmed and cubed 2 Tbs. olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced 1 cup ketchup
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper 3 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup melted butter 1 Tbs. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt

Saute garlic in oil.  Add meat and sear/brown.

Mix remainder of ingredients in a small bowl, and add to pan.

Cover, and simmer on low 40 minutes, or bake at 350o for one hour, until tender.

Serve over rice.

Notes and Variations

Susan does 2 lbs. beef and double the sauce ingredients except the butter.

We like a LOT more garlic, but not double sauce.

Use half regular ketchup/half Heinz Hot Ketchup, or add 2-3 tsps. Tabasco.
