You are part of the crew of the Jailhouse Rock, a proud member of the Space Brigade.  While you're here on Earth, you've infiltrated the strange group known as Those in Black.  Remarkable, really -- they appear to be the descendents of the survivors of Lemuria, the original capital of the Galactic Republic, which was destroyed millenia ago.  You aren't letting them know who you are, of course; it isn't clear how they would really react to contact with the rest of the Galaxy, and they have become a wierd and somewhat obsessive bunch.  But you are keeping an eye on them for now.  They might well influence the decision about whether this planet should be allowed into the Republic...
